Pablo, the new, powerful tool for creating images

To anyone familiar with Twitter add-ons, and the task of finding what to tweet about, Bufferapp is invaluable. Like Hootsuite it can schedule posts across multiple social media sites, but unlike Hootsuite (thankfully) it comes into its own with its slick interface and suggestions for what to tweet based on your Twitter profile.

Not content with text-based services, Buffer has developed Pablo, a tool for easily creating eye-catching imagery – the sort that usually has an Oscar Wilde quote or an insightful statistic on top. Puzzled by what that might be? Here’s an example (complete with orphan):

In a recent post announcing Pablo’s launch, Courtney Seiter waxes lyrical about the tool and its new uses (in a listicle no less). It lets users choose from a bank of stock imagery (or upload their own), type in text and can even suggest notable  quotes if you are a bit stuck for what to say.

In Seiter’s own words:

Now comes the fun part: Styling your image! You can make the text larger or smaller, change your font type or color, switch the photo to blurred or black-and-white, move things around, and add a secondary line of text or even an icon!

When you get your image looking the way you want it, you’re done! With one click, you can share to Twitter, Facebook, or add your creation to your Buffer queue. You can also download the image to use in a blog post, social media post or anywhere you like.

Luckily Pablo is free and for those averse to fiddling about with text layers in Photoshop, it should be a godsend.
