9 hacks for composing a photo

Content Desk has previously written about the rule of thirds, advocating that any non-professional photographer use it as a quick-fix to otherwise dull, uninspiring photography.

Well, it’s high time to ask what other tricks you can easily perform to pep up your photos. Luckily, this three-minute video by the Cooperative of Photography has eight extra rules (plus the rule of thirds) you can easily follow – and to hammer home the points it is making, makes reference to some stunning Steve McCurry photographs in the process. (If you’ve never heard of McCurry, he’s that National Geographic stalwart who was created ‘Afghan Girl‘ – one of the most recognisable images of the 20th Century.)  Roll the tape…
