Top royalty-free image libraries

If you lack the budget for inspiring photography for your content-marketing campaign, look no further than Verve’s advice about where to find the best royalty-free imagery. In many cases, the licensing these sites use mean you are free to download, alter and use the images in question – at no cost.

As Verve states:

All of the photographs featured on the sites on this list are free from copyright restrictions and can be used on your web sites, blogs and for any other commercial use.

The list is split into two sections and an overview of the license for each site is included within block quotes along with a link to the full license details (if applicable).

Heading up the list is Pixabay – whilst not every picture in its library is free, you can easily filter out the paid-for ones that link to such sites as Shutterstock.

And for the retro feel, New Old Stock offers photographs so ‘time-honoured’ (ok, old) they are unfettered by such details as copyright restrictions.

Verve’s full list of 27 is well worth exploring – and bookmarking – if your content-marketing campaign has a tight budget.
